This is one of the bands I listed as one of my favorite local bands that got featured as a [This is Good] post. The label, Ferret Music, is home of Everytime I Die, Full Blown Chaos, Chimaria, Poison the Well and more bands that are buzzing currently but I was just naming some of the big band names that are on this label.
The Hottness hails from Wilmington, North Carolina. They are high energy, straight-up hard rock n' roll. They are good guys, party hard and I'm incredibly happy for them. I wish them the best, everything keeps moving forward and looking up. A random fact: The singer, Adam was the guitar player for Kevin Federline's band on One Tree Hill. If you look close, you can see him in the episodes.
You don't know how much pride I feel that they were a band that played The Brewery and from North Carolina. They deserve this and keep your eye out Raleigh for your Carolina Home Growns!!! There are a lot of bands from here that are getting or are already big and they are from this state.
In Closing: YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE????!! YOU IN THE JUNGLE, BABY!
This is just a courtesy call
This is just a matter of policy
This is just an act of kindness
To let you know that your time is up!

This song is in my head at the moment. I think this is the most obscure song I could have picked on the album to post. I just like it. Man, nevermind the song wouldn't post. :(
What's your musical horoscope? (Put your player on shuffle and write down the first 10 songs that come up.)
J'Y Suis Jamias Alle - Amelie Soundtrack
Papa Don't Preach - Kelly Osbourne
Cool - Gwen Stefani
Holiday - Yearling
Girls Got Rhythm - AC/DC
La Dispute - Amelie Soundtrack
Five minutes to Midnight - Boys like Girls
Theme- (to) Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Soundtrack.
Roxanne - Fall Out Boy / Polica! Police covers. :D

I think my horoscope is saying Life is good, you've made it through your rough patch, now it's time to live! LOL
But Welcome to the Jungle is the 11th song! I love it! "You know where you are???!"
Don't lie to the masses about what kind of man you are.

There are so many North Carolina grown bands that I love.
1. The Mile After: They hail from Charlotte, NC a pop rock band with infectious sounds! I sing their songs a lot when I listen to them! They are extremely good at making a catchy pop song while have darker lyrics of a broken heart.
2. Ravel: They are from Raleigh, NC. They have a sound that is compared to Radiohead and Muse. But I just love this band, they sort of broke up when the two brothers (singer and guitarist) and bassist moved to Nashville to pursue folk music band: Carswell. The drummer is in a rock band called: By Morning. I love this band and wish they would just move back to Raleigh and reform because this one band I miss hanging out with. These guys visit and call us when we're in town, they hang out with us. They're part of the family.
3. Farewell: They are another pop rock band but they hail from Greensboro, NC. I had the great fortune of seeing them go from a small band to a band that is now signed to a "big name" label; Epitaph. I have really have no words for them. The singer does all their cute character designs and we have one little man drawn in our bathroom. I was always really in awe of the artistic creativity in this band that stood out to me. I always feel a sense of pride when you see a band go from small time to approaching bigger and better things. This goes for EVERY band I am listing (and even the ones that didn't make this list).
4. Classic Case: This band is from Chapel Hill, NC. By the time I saw them they already had a reputation. FOR PARTYING! lol no really, they were established and when I was introduced I felt embarrassed I had no idea who they were when they told me. It was perceived as being a big deal at the time of introduction but luckily I got to see them! Unfortunately they broke up eariler this year and that crushed all of our hearts. They just released the album: Losing at Life a month earlier. This band has very extremely talented individuals and their sound was their own. *sigh* It really put a knife in our hearts when they broke up. We were really heartbroken at The Brewery. If you ever had the privilege of seeing this band they can be soft and they can be hard rock. It was their choice. A album we played over and over was Classic Case's Dressed to Depress. VERY GOOD ALBUM. I can't go on anymore. Anyway, The members separated: The singer Jared went on to do Telescreen(former Code 7 w/ Jared doing vocals). Mitch (guitarist) to He Is Legend from Wilmington, NC. (Check it out!)
5. Yearling: This band was from Raleigh, now relocated to Winston-Salem, NC. Another band I had the honor to see go from zip to having a lot of fans. Pulling their own crowds. They signed to Tragic Hero Records and they're on tour seeing the US. I wish them the best, I am very proud of them and hope to see them reach the stars!
6. The Hottness: They are straight rock & roll, high energy hard rock! I love watching them, they have great energy(and like to party) and they are also signed to Tragic Hero Records.
7. Scapegoat: They are modern hard rock metal. They might seriously kill me if I didn't include them. THEY WOULD EAT ME THEY ARE SO METAL. They are another Tragic Hero Records band!
Sorry for my brevity at the end but I am totally exhausted but I wanted to stress that I have so many more bands that I could list you would be overwhelmed for life by my arsenal. But these are my favorites that I could think of right off the top of my head and could shoot out of mouth. I smile when I see these bands/people because they are friends of the brewery. Oh and they ROCK. I feel so lucky that I get to be around these people consistently, it's a real treat to live this life and meet so many talented individuals everyday. And umm...THIS IS HOW WE DO IN NORTH CAROLINA!
Well, I'd train him like a marine corps
Boot, camp, make him like a superhero (yes ma'am)
That always better be his response
Or I don't give a dog a bone
Attention! Show me your skeletons, let's not play games
We can be closer than sharing last names (gimme my award)
The award is a purple heart, it could be yours
If you earn that medal, yeah you could be my boy
This line always drives me crazy because a purple heart is for people wounded or killed in battle. I don't see how this relates to being in a relationship.. Well I guess it could in the most overdramatic way possible.
I don't really like the video, and it's an okay single. I need No Doubt to get back together! haha
Though there is half nakedness laying around in the video for anyone that has a problem with seeing bikinis and stuff.
It's insanely easy to learn, funny how something so beautiful is so simple. Like everything great.
I wish I could go into detail of how much I love it, I can not describe how it makes me feel. Just calm. I really love it.
So I opened the door of my apartment to hear the beginning of "Bad to the bone" Ma-nah-nah-nah. LOL Someone is blasting it in the parking lot, I think. hahahaha
It just amused me that I opened the door at the time the song started. However, I perfer the tunes of "Dirty Deeds(done dirt cheap)" better.
It's crazy. :D I'm going back to dancing to this song. :D
