How have you changed in the past year?
Submitted by littleduckling.
I decided I was going to step out of my comfort zone in some ways. I am enjoying time I have off. I wear more shorts and skirts now. My level of self consciousness is going down from stepping out of the comfort zone. I am shooting videos now. And I don't really care if I miss spots on my legs while shaving, I'm human. Oh well! :P
Overall, I feel a little more relaxed and happy. I'm exploring the more carefree side of my personality. I do what I want.
Who was the meanest teacher you had in school?
I don't remember his name, but my first year of high school(in Pensacola, FL at Pine Forest High School) I had a teacher that was convinced daydreaming and not being able to get his math class was a sign of weakness in character and being lazy. So naturally, our relationship was star-crossed.
I had to stand in a corner I think because I got caught daydreaming and wasn't on the assignment I should have been. He was a douche and was fired 2 years later. But I think that's technically the meanest teacher I had.
I think I didn't like him because he always ranted about laziness and how "we should get it." Past that, all he would talk about with joy was deer-hunting.
........yeah.
What personality trait has gotten you in the most trouble?
Described by other people "You say what everyone is thinking but no one says."
Yeap.
What is your definition of cheating?
WHHYYY IS THIS STILL A QOTD? WHY? WHY? WHY?
WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?
WHY?
What are your neighbors like? (The ones you live near or next to, not the ones in your Vox neighborhood!)
I don't really know my neighbors since we live the night life. I never see them hardly. The only one I know is the girl that works at The Brewery's bank. Even then I've only seen her three times around the complex.
The only neighbor I feel like I know is my upstairs one. He's been living here since we have and he gets up at the same time we go to bed. Occasionally, he'll be late for work and you can hear the pattering footsteps. Anyway, he normally wakes up around 7:30 AM. He uses the balcony a lot, sometimes I think he just opens it to have the window open. I've only seen him twice ever. We have completely different schedules. But he's quiet and only patters around a few times. He doesn't do anything serious like do mad modifications to his apartment or nothing.
It's creepy I know this stuff. Sometimes if you listen you can hear what he's watching. hahha
What indulgence always makes your grocery list?
1. Cereal. I don't know if that's an indulgence. I rarely want cereal..so it ends up being an indulgence for me.
2. Very Vanilla Soy Milk in three packs.
3. A magazine! I used to read Jane but then it went away so I ordered Bust and now I'm trying Nylon to see if I would consider reading it. :D
What inspires you to blog?
A few things inspire me but mostly I have a really bad memory. I forget I do half the things I blog about so when I go back and look at this blog, it usually tickles me the things I had to say or what we did or what Tom told me that I had to blog about then that just made me laugh. So just to curb the smartass thoughts out there: My bad memory is not drug induced at all. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs.Mena Trott's talk on TED talks. She talks about how blogs are under fire with the media and argues with the notion that blogs are horrible. She gives examples of blogs that have helped people. She talks about her own experience with blogging. "I always decided I was an expert on one thing and I am an expert on this person (referring to herself) and I write about it." Mena says in her speech.
She pointed out things that really make me like diaries, journals and blogs. I like the idea of documenting and watching yourself grow and how you change and it's a good way to connect to people around you. I like the idea of having a record for myself and to share with others.
Kokochi really made me understand what mobile blogging was about. Capturing a moment in time and telling what was happening. She tells her stories really well and is very personable. Something about reading her blog just clicked in my head what it was about. Sharing your experience and trying to make someone either feel like they are there or to show them something they may have never seen. It's kind of like scrapbooking or putting together photo albums.
I've had to learn how to make mobile blogging work for me and actually take the ride, MYSELF! lol That was really hard because I had this urge to want to share this moment, right this instant! But that was too obsessive and I learned that really quick in Myrtle Beach 2006. How was I supposed to enjoy my trip when I was furiously taking photos and writing posts?! So now I take the pictures at the time and post them after it's over or at the end of the day. I rarely post them at the time it's happening. I figure as long as I post them in the same day, no harm done, right? Anyway, I'm meeting tons of cool people everyday through this blog and it's just been a positive experience.

How are you spending Christmas Day?
I slept until 4 PM after having pancakes with Tom. We do Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve. So we spend Christmas sitting around and looking at our presents. Tom, Ryan and Wanda got me Batman: The Animated Series. The version I watched as a young girl (More like 12 year old or older as opposed to a 6 year old!! haha). But I adored it and I got Volume One and Two! I just watched the first episode and for the most really liked it. It's not exactly like I remembered maybe because I noticed "acting on a budget." lol!
I'm about to go over to my friend Debbie's house and talk her for a while. It's gonna be fun. So this is how I spent my Christmas! I'm so happy this year! I really enjoyed myself!
What old wives’ tale have you discovered to be totally untrue?

Eating fast makes you fat. I thought this was laughable because I'm a habitual fast eater. And I'm world famous for being the tiniest person at 5 foot 6 inches!! And I read somewhere eating slow makes you full faster, but this seems to keep the above myth going. I mean I know how much I eat regardless of how fast or slow I eat it.
Chewing gum, if swallowed, remains inside your body for seven years. I always heard adults say this when I was a kid. It just sounds silly!
If you consume Pop Rocks followed by a carbonated drink, your stomach will explode and you'll die. Another I heard as a kid. haha I can only imagine this combination making your stomach ache. However, Mentos and Diet Coke is another story.
