Taken today with my Canon Rebel XSi. A woman stopped me and asked me what I was doing my photographs for and I said "I'm just playing with my new camera." She says "Oh, I saw you taking kind of weird photos." I think she meant the weird angles and how many I would take. hahaha Which I look goofy when I take photographs. :P I forgot to mention, Tom got a new camera; Canon 40D. He also posted about today. So yeah. Enjoy!
I made the local look on the blog scene. I'm honored to have made this! Thanks, Ginny! :) Her blog is called "Ginny from the Blog." Check it out!
What's new for me? We had a dance party with our new dance team: The Brew Girls. Tonight went pretty smoothly but we hope to bring in more people. Hopefully a video or some pictures will spring up from tonight. They worked really hard on their routines and I was happy for them. They got a lot of positive feedback. :) I've worked a lot this week, I can't wait until Sunday for me to chill out.
I'm going to eat tacos now. Goodnight!
I enjoy going to the fair just to walk around take pictures. It's visually stimulating for my brain. I ate some food: Sweet corn on the cob, Corndog and two sweet potato fries that weren't that good. :( I also went into a "freak show" type of thing with the world's smallest woman who wasn't all that small. Then pondered if they give her a break to stand up. I watched the fireworks while Tom got great pictures of them. I tried to show I was holding a coca-cola and a corndog but didn't do that too well! I really had a fun time. I never ride the rides because they're kind of expensive for something that's only put up in one day! But I just enjoy the flashy lights. The simples things! :D
Tom is going to update his blog soon with pictures he took of the fair so watch out! They look ten times better than mine!!
Well we were in downtown looking for a place to eat and we saw Father and Son vintage antique thrift store and went in and look around. I bought a (modern) "Make Love Not War." shirt. They overprice everything and there are some things I left behind because of this. Such as a $10 pair of sunglasses that is scratched up at the lens AND it is very flimsy like the arm is going to come off. Tell me, why would I pay $10 for something that will probably break tomorrow? My only complaint about Father and Son. Upon leaving we asked the woman where we could eat and she recommended the The Raleigh Times Bar.
Thankfully, we were not near the bar, shew! I don't like being around the noisy area anyway. It was a newspaper that ran for a long time and stopped running in the 80s and there were newpapers framed in wire hung frames. Took a picture of the candle on our table but I ended up blowing it out on accident when I sighed heavily. I also ordered a Reuben. It was okay. It tasted better with the mayo spread on it because it canceled out the heavy sodium taste to it.
After we left, Tom took some photographs of downtown and I snapped a photo of him in action. He was leaning against the wall to steady himself so he could take these lowlight pictures as seen in his blog. Oh! Tom Taylor is on Vox now! Just so you know if you want to see his photography!! :D
Eating fire. You can hear how windy it is, it's freezing too, my hands still are stiff from being cold!
I thought I would add these to the Triangle group so people can see we have a Ren-Faire. The last one is next weekend! To see the scheldule, you can go to ncrenfaire.com.
It's kinda cool. I went through the animals and took pictures of the bunnies and the peeps. They were so cute! I had to take a picture of the pony rides. The ponies look bored. REAL bored. I kinda like that they keep these "freak shows" around at fairs, it's really neat, looks cool and has that vintage feel. (minus the lighty spinny rides around it.)
